A new lens. What is Focal length. Then some Shisha Dogs, Cats, and a Deathstar under construction

With the start of my third week of the photography class I went and picked up a professional quality lens because I aim to make photography my secondary hobby after PC Gaming. This camera gives me motivation to leave the apartment and explore the city after being stuck inside for the last 2 years because of COVID. But with my work schedule and course workload I'm looking at only night time and my only day off is Tue which is usually spent getting ahead o. My English and Business class. Looking ahead I am going to try and post every Thu or Fri.

I had to pick up a new lens for my camera specializing in close up ultrawide.

Meet the Sony 35mm 1.4 G Master this lens is primarily for portraits and landscape photos with some up close shots sprinkled in. I plan on getting a telephoto lens after mastering this one. When I say 35mm, 50mm, 85mm I am referring to the focal length of the camera

Now back to the photos I remember almost a decade ago when I landed in Okinawa, Japan I was greeted by the stone dogs always seen in pairs guarding entrances. I am glad to see they are used in other cultures. Although I am not sure if the Japanese or Chinese came up with the idea first.
Never too old to have fun

I used to work at the Four Queens as security from 2017-201 fun times seeing the inner workings of an old casino.

I really like how the colors came out on this shot
After getting the new lens I had to redo an eariler shot and I can say it came out better.

I really need to just take one entire day off and just go out and take photos.
